Laura Margaret Jones

After studying Human Geography, International Affairs, and GIS at The University of Georgia, Laura Margaret dabbled in a few different sectors - journalism, research, city government, education, non-profit - and called several places home - Athens, GA; Washington, DC; and Los Angeles, CA.  It was her return to her childhood home of Chattanooga, however, that peaked her interest in Urban Planning and Architecture. In witnessing the long-term changes in the urban landscape and its effects on demographics and dynamics, she is concerned with the power of the built environment to create connection or eliminate it and sees design as a key to building a more inclusive and just society.

Laura Margaret is pursuing graduate school programs in Urban Planning and Architecture. In the meantime, she is calling upon her experiences managing, facilitating, and doing outreach to coordinate our nitty-gritty office stuff.
